Junhee wins Korea’s Next Wave, representing the Republic of Korea for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia final stage. This is Eurovision’s first competition reigning the Asian continent since its establishment in 1956, opening opportunities for Asian artists to showcase their skills for the global audience!

Eurovision Song Contest Travels to Asia
Established in 1956, the global audience familiarizes themselves with the music competition’s roots in Europe, showcasing a variety of musicians representing their countries of origin. This year brings the competition to the Asian region, introducing Bhutan, Philippines, and South Korea as each country holds their National Selection Shows for musician submissions and finalizing their country’s representative champion. Nepal prepares for their National Selection Show titled “Nepal Decides” on September 19, with more countries following after for the final stage on November 14 in Eurovision Song Contest Asia’s first Host City: Bangkok, Thailand. Junhee of South Korea, A True Ace of Aces
Making his debut in 2017 as Jun in K-Pop boy group A.C.E under BEAT INTERACTIVE, Junhee now resides with self-established H&P Entertainment after departing from BEAT in March 2025 along with his members, each fulfilling their own solo endeavors under various agencies. A.C.E is known for their iconic title tracks “CACTUS”, “SAVAGE”, and “Goblin (Favorite Boys)”, all members excelling in dance, vocals, and stage presence.
Junhee made use of the craze surrounding Sony Pictures Animation’s Kpop Demon Hunters, his covers of “Your Idol” and “Free” featuring AleXa attracted a plethora of fans in preparation for his solo debut single “Supernova” in August 2025. He released his first English EP The First Day and Night in September 2025 featuring title track “Umbrella,” with his latest EP LOVE METHOD featuring triple title tracks “5 STARS”, “LA LA LA LUNE”, and “Forever young”.
Although many are not aware of the competition’s existence, achieving an honor of representing one’s home country comes with a “new wave” of experiences, introducing newcomers to a region of the world rich in culture, history, and artistic ventures.
