Sharing their own interpretations of growth and coming-of-age ten years ago, BTS dived into the grappling nature of temptation, facing it with adversity or ecstasy.
Released on October 10, 2016, WINGS becomes BTS’s second full length album, featuring 15 tracks in total with seven solo tracks exploring their own interpretations of growth and coming-of-age, boys meeting evil for the first time.

Blood Sweat & Tears: Chocolate Cheeks and Chocolate Wings

Through “Blood Sweat & Tears”, one of their most beloved tracks among K-Pop fans, the title track alludes to a devilish love masked with a deceiving sweetness, a love addictive, sultry, and worship-led. “Blood Sweat & Tears” devotes itself to a lover by relinquishing all autonomy and fighting with little resistance, consuming each member whole as they accept defeat, a death unavoidable and yet riddled in ecstatic bliss.

Seven Solo Tracks, Seven Personal Loves
From the juxtaposition of j-hope’s “Too bad but it’s too sweet” sentiment from “Intro: Boy Meets Evil” to suga’s affirmation for the piano being his “first love”, Wings roots itself in various points of agony and contemplation, eventually breaking free from merciless love by spreading their wings, trusting that they, too, are ready to “fly higher than the sky”. Leaving all worries behind through the empowerment of belief and faith, BTS acknowledges their pain and adversities with proof of resilience and perseverance, overcoming each setback with gratitude, as their wings were always “made to fly”.
